Not when they were somewhere when
That vibe will never rule again

Like boomers sans the faded joy
Or toddlers who won't share a toy
Loveless music lovers, hipsters
Tiresome ancient trivia tripsters

I do not dig them with the Jam
I do not dig them dropping "Can"
I do not dig them with the Mats
I do not dig their knowing tats

I'd rather hear them try to play
A song they write themselves one day
Then listen to them bleat and bray
About the scene back in the day
